You Could Be Selling Lies

In this modern age of social media and other sharing platforms we have access to more “facts” than ever before. If you are in sales (and come on, we’re ALL in sales to one degree or another) you may use the internet or content shared by colleagues to aide in your selling efforts. Unfortunately those facts are often untrue. Fake “memes” or quotes overlaid on pictures of famous people are particularly prone to fooling us. Let me share an example with you of how this easily this can happen.

I created a meme with the following quote and overlaid it on a photograph of a famous politician:
