Xerox to bring AI to its printers and copiers
A recent press release has Xerox AtlaLink copiers to be equipped with AI enabled applications. Below are some of the bullet points from the article.
- MFP include Xerox’s ConnectKey technology, and are pre-loaded with AI-enabled applications.
- will enable users to quickly summarize documents, convert handwritten notes, and automatically redact sensitive documents
- Adaptive Learning that uses AI-based algorithms to analyze usage patterns, learning from user behavior, and automatically adjusting device settings to streamline workflows.
- MFPs can also serve as a platform for various AI-assisted workflows, including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
- uses optical character recognition (OCR) and AI to analyze paper and digital documents to uncover trends and insights
On last weeks Ask Us Anything this was our topic of discussion. I''ll be posted that later this on the blogs.
MY thoughts, since it seems that Xerox is the first with this level of AI, my thought is that Ricoh and Canon will quickly follow. It's also my belief that sales will skyrocket with AI enabled copiers. The last time this happened was some 15-20 years ago when everyone wanted color.
Would love to hear from others about this topic!
