(WHEC) — Xerox's multi-billion dollar plan to buy office company HP could be headed for a new go-round.
Xerox has been offering $33.5 billion to buy the company since November, but HP's board has rejected their offer.
However, according to a report in finance magazine Barron's, HP is in a window in which stockholders will be able to replace board members until mid-January. A new board may give the proposed deal a second look.
Xerox has been pushing to buy HP saying the printer industry needs to consolidate.
