I just got slaughtered on a 1 machine deal by a little Xerox sales agent/dealer at a church. 55ppm color (WC7855??) with booklet finisher and 4 trays. Xerox was 171.00 for 60 months and my canon C5250 at almost true cost was $3,000.00 (around 50.00 per month) more.
Anyone sell Xerox that can shed some light on this.
I didn't expect to win it, really, as the buyer stated a few times that he was in charge of buying copiers his whole career in corporate America (of course he was) and he did not care about specs, value add's, or anything else other than the lowest price because he was buying it for his church. I sent him a quote, never called him back, and never went to the location. He calls me today and tells me he had bad news and we were 50.00 more per month and that like he told me before nothing mattered to him or his committee other than the price. I told him good luck and that was about it. Advised him something probably wasn't apples to apples or it was a used machine etc but who knows, since he's been "buying copiers his whole career".
