Xerox’s Global Imaging Systems Acquires ASI Business Solutions; Expands Presence in Dallas-Fort Worth Market

DALLAS, Texas, Oct. 26, 2016 – Global Imaging Systems (GIS), a Xerox Company, has acquired ASI Business Solutions, a leading office technology sales and service provider based in Dallas, Texas, that serves the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition to providing document technology options from office copiers and printers to production printing, ASI also offers mailing solutions to its customers.

With more than 30 years of experience in the document technology industry, Ken Copeland will continue to serve as president of the company. “Partnering with GIS and Xerox allows ASI to further honor its commitment to deliver exceptional service, technological innovation and value to every customer,” said Copeland. “We consider ASI a people-driven technology company, and the breadth of experience Xerox and GIS bring to our organization gives me confidence that we’ll continue exceeding our customers’ expectations.”

Scott Wiggins, another 30-year veteran of the industry, will continue as executive vice president of ASI.

The addition of ASI bolsters GIS’ presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market – a large metropolitan area with strong growth potential.

“Expanding our network of locally based companies is how we’ve consistently entered markets to provide new customers with industry leading technology and innovative services,” said Michael Pietrunti, senior vice president, Acquisitions, Corporate Services and Marketing, GIS.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
