Xerox, Retirees Announce Class Deal Over Health-Care Premiums
- Xerox began requiring 50% premium contributions in 2019
- Portions of ERISA case survived dismissal last year
Xerox Corp. reached a class settlement with about 900 retirees who accused the company of improperly charging premiums for their company-paid health insurance.
The parties are working to draft a settlement agreement and plan to file the deal for court approval within the next two weeks, they said in a joint filing. Their one-page letter, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of New York, didn’t include details about the terms of the agreement.
