Xerox goes all Fuji

The word is that ?Mother X? in her infinite wisdom has decided to become an all Fuji shop. Hopefully this means that we will not have more debacles like the 6030 ? 6050 to look forward to. Our understanding is that the contract with KIP on the KIP 8000 print engine used as the printer component for the Xerox 721 is up at the end of the year and Xerox has elected to decline renewal. In doing so they lose their option on the KIP 3000. This is probably a good deal for KIP. The jury is still out on how it will impact Xerox. Fuji?s track record in the low end market has not been good, now they have two segments (high and low) of a three segment market hanging on Fuji design, engineering and most important of all, software.
