GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Paul Hartley is succeeding Ralph Slider as president of Michigan Office Solutions, the company announced.

Slider has been promoted to the position of senior vice president of field operations with Global Imaging Systems, Inc. He will continue to work with MOS in addition to other GIS companies throughout the nation.

MOS is part of GIS, a subsidiary of Xerox Co.

The 60-year-old MOS supplies printers and other office technology to companies.

The Grand Rapids-headquartered company, at 2859 Walkent Drive NW, also has offices in Detroit, Novi, Lansing, Saginaw, Alpena, Traverse City, Kalamazoo. The company has 275 employees.

"Paul's passion for people, process and customers compliments the MOS culture," Slider said in a statement, announcing the leadership change.

Hartley is a longtime Xerox executive. While vice president of acquisition operations, Hartley played an integral role in the 2007 acquisition of GIS by Xerox and was in charge of the Integration Office to ensure a smooth transition, according to the company. 

MOS, which began in 1957 as Commercial Equipment Company, was acquired by Global Imaging Systems, Inc in 2002.

Michigan Office Solutions was formed in 2007 to combine WS Reed Company and CEC employees.   read the rest here
