NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Xerox announced today a new agreement with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) to provide workflow automation solutions, managed print services (MPS), office equipment and production presses to the 12 member states of the Compact, as well as states in sister compacts: the New England Board of Higher Education, the Southern Regional Education Board and the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education. The contract was awarded to Xerox following an open and competitive sourcing event.
“Educational institutions continue to struggle with budget uncertainties while embracing a path of digital transformation through technology,” said Larry Isaak, MHEC president. “We actively sought a partner who could deliver the digital strategies and cost-effective solutions to all educational institutions, both large and small. Xerox responded with a turnkey solution that will enable us to take advantage of the company’s wide-ranging portfolio of products and services—all under one contract.”
MHEC includes 12 Midwestern states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin). By using the Compact’s programs and contracts, public and private not-for-profit education institutions, school districts, and state and local governments have achieved significant cost savings, and have benefited from collective knowledge and best practice solutions.
