When did Ikon start selling RMAP?

Every time I've promoted Ricoh products that qualify for the no interest leasing promo, my prospect has asked me to put together a proposal. This is an excellent promotion and is definitely raising eye brows. It would be great to carry it beyond December 31, 2003.


When did Ikon start selling RMAP? I was under the impression that the No Interest at 36mo. and 48mo. was a RMAP deal. If you use DMAP or IMAP, then it should be done through outside leasing companies. Can anyone clarify this situation?

We don't do alot of RMAP Leasing so let me apologize in advance for my ignorance but is it not true that any sale using a .0278 rate factor is "No Interest" as it is defined here? Of course, we all know you can't truly calculate an interest rate of any kind on something you won't own. I say, "It's like asking Hertz what interest rate they use when calculating a weekly rental." If RMAP is "No Interest" than what is our current 36 month FMV rate of .0271? Are we paying them interest to lease our equipment because the sum of payments is less than the purchase price?

True, but I was thinking the 48mo. No Interest that Ricoh Lesing also offers. I think it is pretty much a given that almost everyone's 36mo. is at least Interest Free, but not their 48mo. I would like to know if he is talking 36mo. or 48mo. also. Will someone reply to his post on the AF and ask that?
