How many lines are handling this volume? Your cost of operation would be very high on the 5510's. You might consider a bank of 1515F's to handle the job. The 2035,2045 wouldnt really help with the volume other than cost of operation, of which the acquisition cost would probably offset a lot of the savings. Just my two cents. Good Luck.

I just had this with an attorney that producing a volume of 17,500 pages per month on his 2045SP.

Fax and print volume totaled almost 11,000 pages per month. I could have went the route with the 2060SP and then had to figure a fax solution that would also add to the cost of the 2060SP (really not solving the problem and just adding cost for the customer).

Well, here's what I am proposing on Friday, the customer still has 31 months left on his Aficio 2045SP. I am going to propose buying out the 2045SP and he keeps it for another 31 months, then I am going to propose an AP900 printer with a Zetafax fax server software solution. We will install a new server that will serve as the fax server ($600) w/Zetafax software, cost for 5 users $695 less 30%, Zeta fax dual modem card $550 less 30%.

Zetafax will do things: (A). It will archieve all incoming faxes on the fax server (think of it, no more lost faxes), then we can route all incoming faxes to print to the AP900. Thus I am removing almost 11,000 pages a month from the 2045 which has a higher cpc than the AP900.

End result for the customer is that he only has to spend an additional $132 per month for the AP900, the zetafax software, and storage of all faxes. In 29 months or so I can then address the Aficio 2045SP, send it back and lease him something else that may need his needs.

I'll let you know how it works out. I am trying to get Zetafax to sponser a message baord here.

Just a note of interest - regardless of your choice of output device, how about including an "AUTO-DUPLEX" unit into the proposal ? AF1515F (or MF) can be programed to default each incomming fax doc to be printed double-sided. This paper savings is money & tree saving !
