A: The App2Me Manager and the Applet for the MFP will be free. Some widgets will be free. Others will be chargeable.

Q: Will App2Me be offered by Ricoh worldwide?
A: App2Me will be offered globally.

Set-Up
Q: What products does App2Me support?
A: App2Me will be offered as a standard feature on all new MFP products, starting from the time that the App2Me product is introduced.. Ricoh also plans to support App2Me on many existing MFP products. Visit App2Me.com for more details.

Q: What are the components of an App2Me solution?
A: For the MFP, an applet program called the App2Me Provider. For the PC, the components are App2Me WidgetManager, Google Desktop™, and widgets.

Q: How do I set up my PC for App2Me?
A: The WidgetManager and Google desktop will need to be installed on the PC. App2Me.com will have step-by-step instructions.

Q: How do I set up my existing MFP for App2Me?
A: MFP’s fall under 2 categories:
• For MFPs with a market release date before December 2009, the Provider will need to be installed on the MFP. App2Me.com will have step-by-step instructions including options requirements necessary for App2Me use.
• For MFPs with a market release date during and after December 2009, the Provider will be pre-installed on the MFP. The provider may need updating. Detail instructions on this can be found on App2Me.com.

Widgets
Q: Where can I get more Widgets?
A: There will be a Widget Gallery on App2Me.com where you can download the Widgets.

Q: What platforms can App2Me use?
A: At launch, Google Desktop is the only supported platform. More platforms are being investigated.

Q: Will App2Me be supported on Smartphones?
A: Yes, App2Me will be supported on a few Smartphones. In December 2009, Blackberry and iPhone represent approximately 74% of the Smartphone market share. Ricoh will look into these two Smartphones first.

Q: Is App2Me designed to work on other manufacture’s MFP products?
A: No, App2Me is only designed to enhance your workflow capabilities on Ricoh- based MFP products.

Q: Has Ricoh engaged any 3rd party partners to work with App2Me?
A: Yes, 3rd party partners are exploring development to App2Me.

Q: Can major accounts create customized widgets to meet their unique workflow needs?
A: Yes, through the RiDP Major Accounts / Strategic Accounts (MASA) program.

Identifying Opportunities
Q: How can I spot sales oportunites?
A: App2Me users span over multiple vertical and horizontal markets. Target customers include Small businesses to Global Enterprises. The best way to associate App2Me is matching it with a customer need.
• Simple Workflow: To use MFPs may take several steps both at the touch panel display and/or at the PC. This widget workflow reduces the steps to get a document to place where the user needs it.
• Personalized Interaction: At times it may be intimidating to operate the MFP; with so many buttons, users may get overwhelmed. The same icons that the user sets up at their PC or Smartphone shows up on the Touch Panel Display thus reducing the clutter and creates a familiar, easy-to-use interface.
• Portability: Many workers nowadays are mobile, and travel from location to location. App2Me will create incredible opportunities to become more productive and execute a full spectrum of workflows.
• Full Ricoh MFP Fleet Utilization: How fustrating is it to set up a connection to a new MFP or get a scanned file from the MFP to the PC or Smartphone? App2Me automatically discovers all MFPs on the network that are App2Me-enabled and gives users the power to choose the most convenient MFP to execute a specific task.
• Integrated Workflows: Companies are looking for ways to streamline their tasks by having scanned documents automaticly entered into their network business applications either through the internet or on the intranet. They may not want to overhaul their IT infrastructure for a new solution. App2Me can tie the MFP into a company’s current IT infrastructure and/or a new solution that company is looking to implement, either Ricoh Partnered or not.
