What are the Pros & Cons of an Colour LED Print Engine vs a Laser Print Engine?

Power usage; the latest Fuji Xerox devices in our part of the world have been LED for some time.

Using LED's for scanning & printing reduces usage considerably.

I thought Toshiba were going with some type of memjet/ink office MFP?

The Memjet thing is a future product with no ETA. The estudio 2050c is a real product shipping in July.

Biggest reason I sell LED is when paper thiskness matters. On some of the 75XX series with Xerox, you can go up to 300gsm in paper thickness instead of the typical 220gsm or so.

We have sold a couple of these systems already. One was a small construction company where the owner was very pleased with the image quality on very small point sizes when printing 11 x 17" floor plans.

The Toshiba has a max paper weight of 209 gsm but can handle a broader range of smaller envelope sizes.
