I don't know how many of you do demos or do your own end user training anymore but I thought it might be interesting to hear snipits others use to interject humor or creativility in your presentations. If you haven't watched the Kenny Brooks YouTube videos you should. He is a door-to-door salesman with a totally hilarious pitch.
I'm not suggesting that we adopt his presentation style but humor can certainly help maintain people's attention level.

For instance, my Ricoh rep said recently, "Should the paper choose a path not recommended by the machine..." I thought, what a great way to describe a misfeed.

I end every presentation saying, "You now know everything I know about this unit" which always gets a little chuckle.

Any one else have any quips or snipits that they wouldn't mind sharing?

geessh, you're bring me to tears! A standard one for me, is that when you hear the audible alert from the copier that you left your original on the glass, I would then state "the french fries are ready", still gets a laugh to this day (oh corny, right).

From days gone bye, some copiers used to have plastic editing pens. The user would use this pen to white or black out a section of the document. I would set the user up, give them the pen and state that they need to be very careful with the pen because "it is the technology in the pen that cause the document to white out or black out" and that if the pen was lost it would cost $300 or so for a replacement. The user then selected the points on the editing board, pressed the copy key and the copy would be edited with either the white out or black out section of the copy.

This was funny to me because some users actually thought the technology was in the pen and I had a few frantic users calling me that they had lost their pens and needed another. LOL
