Usherwood Office Technology acquires Plattsburgh firmby Eric Reinhardt

SYRACUSE - Usherwood Office Technology, a firm that specializes in the sale and support of copiers, printers, and laptop computers, on Sunday announced the completion of its acquisition of Burgess Enterprises, Ltd. of Plattsburgh.
The transaction represents Usherwood's seventh office in New York. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Usherwood retained all Burgess employees in the acquisition, the firm said in a news release. Headquartered in Syracuse, the firm now employs over 60 people with additional offices in Binghamton, Rochester, Buffalo, Albany, and Potsdam.
With the latest acquisition, Usherwood's clients now include Clinton County, Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, Paul Smith's College, Saranac Lake Central School District, and the Awkwesasne Mohawk Casino in Hogansburg, N.Y.
Burgess Enterprises served Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties for more than 46 years, Usherwood said. Burgess served as an authorized dealer of Canon copiers and printers for the past 30 years.
