With only four months left in Horton school district’s fiscal year, the general fund was cut by $44,000. Dr. Steve Davies, superintendent, told school board members Monday night that despite the large cut, he still feels comfortable with the year.

         

USD 430 switched from its previous copy machine provider to Datamax-O’Neil, who brought in new copy machines last week for the district.

 

Davies said that people have approached him with concerns about purchasing the copy machines. With ever increasing cuts in the school’s budget, how can the school afford new ones? The superintendent’s answer was simple: "because with this new company, we’ll save $60,000 in five years."  read more here
