Can anyone help me with this??? I'm up against the Xerox 6279, the customer wants the device fitted with a Tameran rear stacker. The only problem I came up with is that the 6279 is a rear load toner device, thus you'd had to move the stacker every time you loaded toner. Plus the toner load is a top down approach. Customer prints 90% of the volume.

Here's a few things I found on my own:

  • Toner loads from the right rear of the system, thus if you're using a rear and the system is position to the side of the wall, you would have to disengage the stacker to replace toner.
  • It's a shake and drop also for the toner, meaning you have to open the toner hopper, secure the cartridge to the hopper and then pat the cartridge so the toner falls in the hopper. BERTL reports that if there is small amount of toner left in the cartridge that the system may stop printing (not sure what they mean here).
  • BERTL's "file to print" test states that the Ricoh W7100 will only produce almost 700 square feet more per hour than the Xerox.
