Toshiba's Enterprise Manager Administers Both Cloud and On-premises Systems for a Hybrid Telephone Network
IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2015) - Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division (Toshiba -- www.telecom.toshiba.com) today announced the latest version of its VIPedge® cloud unified communications service with enhancements to Toshiba's Enterprise Manager browser-based administration tool. Toshiba's business telephone solutions, including the VIPedge cloud unified communications service, the IPedge® on-premises business communications system or a hybrid network with both solution types, can now be managed by a common, simplified administration tool.
"Toshiba's Enterprise Manager gives system administrators an intuitive system admin tool that streamlines the programming of Toshiba's cloud and on-premises business telephone solutions. This creates a consistent and familiar user experience for any deployment type, even across a hybrid network," said Brian Metherell, vice president and general manager of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc.,
Telecommunication Systems Division.
Since Toshiba's cloud and on-premises solutions are based on the same software stream, businesses can flexibly mix and match Toshiba's on-premises and cloud solutions according to the needs of the organization. They can deploy an IPedge business phone system in some sites while subscribing to the VIPedge cloud service at other locations. Users will benefit from the same phones and endpoints, the same feature-rich functionality and now the same administration software whether the organization utilizes a cloud, on-premises or hybrid deployment. In addition, there is no retraining needed for users who migrate from IPedge to VIPedge since all aspects of the user experience will be familiar and seamless.
Compatible with Toshiba's VIPedge cloud-based business telephone solution as well as Toshiba's on-premises IPedge systems, the latest version of Toshiba's VIPedge cloud unified communications service and Enterprise Manager makes it easier for the IT team to remotely access and manage the entire system from a browser-based interface from virtually anywhere there's Internet access.
Enterprise Manager benefits include:
- Reducing system management time and costs through common, simplified administration features;
- Increasing productivity through common management architecture for both cloud and on-premises business telephone solutions; and
- Maximizing system reliability with network-wide monitoring tools.
