IRVINE, CA, Feb 28, 2012 ( COMTEX) -- Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc., ( http://business.toshiba.com ), a leading managed document services (MDS) provider and MFP innovator, today introduces the new e-STUDIO(TM) 206L/256/306/356/456 Series of monochrome multifunction printers (MFPs). This series features a built-in 256-bit AES self-encrypting drive (SED) for the utmost in document and data security. The SED technology features Automatic Drive Invalidation that renders the hard drive useless if removed and installed into another device. Data Overwrite comes standard as well, to meet Department of Defense requirements by immediately writing over any data stored on the hard drive during document processing. These features have earned the new e-STUDIO series an exceptional Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level rating of three (EAL3).
The e-STUDIO 206L/256/306/356/456 Series offers features that are typically reserved for larger MFPs, such as a 20-second warm-up, color scanning, and print speeds from 20 to 45 pages per minute. Also included is the next-generation e-BRIDGE(TM) open platform that allows software solutions to be easily integrated to enhance productivity and workflow. Various finishing options, including a new optional inner finisher, add to the versatility of these models.

The e-STUDIO 206L/256/306/356/456 Series is another in a long line of user-friendly Toshiba MFP products. The new line features additional innovations such as printing from or scanning to a USB drive, on-the-fly toner and paper replenishment, and a full 9-inch LCD touch screen with large, easy-to-read control buttons. The Series' standard paper capacity is 1,100 sheets with an optional capacity of up to 3,200 sheets. A 36,600 toner yield further minimizes end-user intervention.
The new series is ENERGY STAR(R) Tier 2 rated proving Toshiba's commitment to the environment. They continue to offer customers a free recycling program, through Close the Loop, that has accepts all spent toner cartridges, regardless of brand, with zero waste to landfill.
