Toshiba Receives Top Honors from BTA
Maintaining its title as the most favored manufacturer serving the Business Technology Association (BTA) distribution channel, Toshiba America Business Solutions’ Electronic Imaging Division (TABS EID) was presented with four awards in BTA’s 2002 Channel’s Choice Awards program. The awards were presented June 10th at the association’s Business Technology Conference in Las Vegas.
Toshiba received the top award in the categories of Corporate Support, Product Line and Marketing Distribution Policy. It also received the award for Overall Superior Performance, an honor it has achieved in seven of the last eight years. Ricoh Corp. received the top award in the category of Digital-Connected Products.
“The Channel’s Choice program provides the association’s dealer/reseller members with a means of recognizing those vendors that are most supportive of the BTA channel,” said 2001-02 BTA President Robert Whiton, who presented the awards during the Welcome Reception at the conference. “Through the years, we’ve honored a number of deserving vendors for offering outstanding products and an exceptional level of performance and support. This year, however, is another banner year for Toshiba. We congratulate the company on its leadership in the industry and express our sincere thanks for its exceptional support of the BTA channel.”
The selection of Channel’s Choice Award winners is based on the balloting of dealer/reseller members who were asked to grade manufacturers/suppliers in the four performance categories. This year, the ballot was mailed to approximately 3,700 independent dealer/resellers.
TABS, an independent operating company of Toshiba Corp., manages product planning, marketing, sales, service support and distribution of network printing products, copiers, facsimile products, toner products, software and network controllers throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. EID is one of four TABS operating divisions.
