Toshiba launches new tablet-laptop hybrid

Toshiba Gulf has launched its new tablet–laptop hybrid, featuring a simple attach and detach latch for easily shifting between the two modes.
“We designed this for people who need a laptop for everyday computing but also want a Tablet for entertainment and added mobility. It’s for everyone who demands essential computing and also appreciates portability,” said Santosh Varghese, general manager of Digital Products and Services at Toshiba Gulf, said of the Satellite W30t’s all-purpose functionality.
The detachable laptop runs on the new Windows 8.1, equipped with 4th generation Intel Core processors that guarantee efficient multitasking and a rich multimedia experience. It offers power-efficient shared graphics, 4GB of memory and up to 500GB HDD storage.
The Satellite W30t features a wide viewing angle and realistic colours along with a cinematic feel through its 10-point multi-touch IPS display and 16:9 aspect ratio.
The 13.3-inch touchscreen has LED backlighting for an accurate colour reproduction and convenient viewing. The Satellite W30t comes with the innovative Resolution+, a technology that automatically enhances the quality of non-HD content to produce clear images.
The responsive touchscreen display is complimented by an A4-sized keyboard with multi-touch pad, providing users multi-input options and ease of use. The Satellite W30t comes with a complete set of ports including a USB 3.0 port with sleep & charge, micro USB 2.0, a micro SD card slot and micro HDMI for consistent connectivity.
Toshiba has equipped the Satellite W30t with PC Health Monitor, an easy-to-read graphical overview of the machine’s temperature, fan speed and battery condition. – TradeArabia News Service
