(TCS) today becomes the newest member of Sharp group, following the completion of the transfer of 80.1% of its stock from Toshiba Corporation to Sharp Corporation. Closure of the transaction follows an announcement by Toshiba and Sharp on June 5 this year, and positions TCS to make a new beginning and promote its business with the full resources and support of Sharp group.
Towards promoting early business expansion, ensuring effective and timely decision making in the intricate, and fast changing ICT market, and to promote close relations and strong synergies with Sharp, TCS has put in place a new management team. Yoshihisa Ishida, the Vice President of Sharp, joins the company as its new Chairman. Kiyofumi Kakudo, who has guided TCS’s recent revival, retains his position as President and CEO.
