LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--INTERCONNECT BOOTH #D3 - Toshiba’s Business Solutions Division (BSD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the availability of the Toshiba Cloud Client Manager (TCCM) – a cloud service that allows IT administrators to easily manage end-point devices across a deployment by providing comprehensive tools and patch management to ensure device efficiency and compliance. Using a standard web browser, IT administrators can now oversee and take control of devices online, in real-time, without the need to invest in servers and dedicated management software.
“As cybersecurity becomes an increasingly important issue nationwide, IT professionals need to be more agile and resourceful than ever”
“As cybersecurity becomes an increasingly important issue nationwide, IT professionals need to be more agile and resourceful than ever,” said Carl Pinto, vice president of product marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Business Solutions Division. “Toshiba Cloud Client Manager delivers smart, secure and reliable enterprise-level patch management all through the cloud, using a standard web browser, ensuring that IT administrators can keep their business on the leading edge, while keeping their information and technology secure.”
TCCM supports mixed product and operating system environments, allowing multiple devices to be managed easily, regardless of platform, OS or user scenario. Not only does this improve organizational efficiency and maintain uptime, it increases productivity as users can access data and apps seamlessly across PCs.
TCCM also automates the administration and support systems that would otherwise need to be looked after manually. For the IT administrators, this means more agile endpoint management via a single, intuitive graphical interface that can be accessed online – all within an architecture that performs tasks quickly and easily.
As part of the service, TCCM offers solutions for patch management, power management, asset management, and Toshiba Software Distribution, which provides updates for component drivers and Toshiba applications.
More Relevant Updates and Shorter Patch Times
As patches are released by software vendors, the Toshiba patch management function automatically recognizes which ones are needed for each device, across multiple operating systems and applications. This allows only the relevant updates to be applied, which makes patch times much quicker and ensure end-point devices within the business are as safe and secure as possible.
Cutting Down on Power Consumption
The Toshiba power management function is designed to gather information on the power being consumed and the CO2 emissions being generated – daily, hourly or every two hours. Power settings can also be monitored through a power plan and Peak Shift settings on Toshiba laptops, which provides intelligent balancing between main power and battery power. Based on the usage levels, the IT administrator can then take control to lower consumption across the business by prohibiting a power change setting by a user, applying a specific setting or providing power-saving software to each endpoint device.
Availability and Pricing
TCCM is available now. There are three pricing options, including:
- $6 per month per seat (18 month minimum)
- $60 per seat pre-paid first year
- $140 per seat pre-paid first three years.
*After the terms are completed, the fee monthly remains at $6 per seat and yearly renewals are $45 per seat.
