Authorized Toshiba Dealers Provided with Best-in-Class Wide-Format Solutions to Meet Demands of Architectural, Engineering and Construction Clients
IRVINE , California ( Sep 25, 2007 ) :
Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) is proud to announce a new partnership with KIP America, the recognized leader in wide-format document imaging systems for the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) markets, to provide authorized Toshiba dealers with industry-leading wide-format KIP multifunction printing solutions for their customers. The extensive lineup of KIP products now available through Toshiba ranges from the KIP 3000, which prints at four D-size (24”x36”) pages-per-minute (PPM), to high-speed, high-volume systems offering users unparalleled performance at 22 D-size PPM.
"The AEC market is a critical customer for Toshiba dealers, and invariably these businesses need wide-format document imaging systems for their day-to-day business functions,” said Steve Rhorer, vice president, Marketing, TABS. “We’ve listened to the voice of our dealers and are thrilled to now enable them to purchase KIP’s best-in-class solutions through Toshiba for their customers.”
To assist with dealer sales efforts, KIP product training collateral and support information will be available on Toshiba’s proprietary FYI Portal. Service training also will be required to sell and support KIP wide-format devices. Toshiba will enable its dealers to sign up for training classes at KIP’s Novi, Mich. U.S. headquarters within the Tech-To-Go section on FYI.
“KIP and Toshiba share quite a significant dealer network in the AEC marketplace, making our partnership appropriate for expanding the respective customer base of each company," said Rich Gigl, KIP vice president, Sales. "In addition, Toshiba is widely acknowledged for IT excellence and the ability to integrate systems and software."
Two of the most popular families of KIP multifunction systems include the four-PPM KIP 3000 Series and eight-PPM KIP 5000 Series, both which feature integrated touch screen control panels, an intuitive user interface, outstanding image quality, speed and reliability. The products also feature a wide array of configuration options, including network printer, scan-to-file, color scanning, connectivity to wide-format inkjet printers for color output, and the ability for users to add additional paper rolls to their systems. Scanners, stands and stacker units also enable the system to be configured to meet customers’ specific needs. The KIP 3000 and KIP 5000 Series are now available through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers for suggested list prices starting at $13,995 and $19,995 respectively.
