wish I could get a better look at the printer part of the system

It is a four drum CMYK Okidata print engine.

So SSG, is this "Super MPS Platfom" the MFP or is it just a management platform that can meter MFPs and label printers?

I will not know until the product is released but Toshiba Tec is a global leader industrial Bar Code lablel printers. It is not hard to imagine they took the software from one side of their business and stuck it inside a MFP.

Has anyone had a chance to test out this new bad boy? I would love to get my hands on one. The slim, compact appearance is great.

I have 20+ units in the field and they all work great.  There was some minor introductory problems but new firmware fixed most of that.

 

I have one e477s black only version that is averaging 45k print per month for four months since install.  The business plans to close down the end of March.  It has not blown up yet!

 

Now the biggest problems is getting enough inventory all the way from Singapore.
