LG to show off rollable 18-inch OLED display at CES

A long, storied history of flexible displays

Flexible screens — especially those that roll-up and are super-thin — are a hallmark of CES and other trade shows. For years and years, we've been looking at different flexible, rollable screen concepts and prototypes from companies from LG and Samsung.

Still — with the exception of some wearables — we haven't really seen flexible displays take off in the consumer market. That could change as the technology gets better and more energy efficient.

Back in 2014, LG said it was confident it could ship a 60-inch flexible 4K TV by 2017. read more here
