If you've been around as long as me or longer you have probably seen fuser oil. It's not used that much in copiers anymore, maybe not at all. However sorting through the garage this weekend turned up 1/2 quart of this.

I've found many uses for fuser oil other than to use in copiers and thought this would be a fun topic to see how others have used it.

I'll start:

I have an older pair of glasses, with many light scratches, every other day I put a drop or two on the lenses and the oil will mask the scratches and make the lens easy to see through. Just one of many that I have.

While it's properties can cause rubber to break down over time, I've used it for years on the exterior auto trim (black) and tires to get that wet look. People say it's a "not safe" use but I've had absolutely no trouble. Also good to rub down weathered paint on outdoor furniture and other painted surfaces (test first).
