Ricoh is pleased to announce its newest edition to the Document Solutions and Services Division (DSS) document solutions family, the enhanced eCabinet 2100, which offers extended compatibility with Ricoh’s latest peripherals.
eCabinet 2100 remains a critical component in DSS’s document management solution’s strategy. DSS continues to focus on document management products targeting departmental workgroups and small businesses to power these customers with easy to use, high performance and scalable products. These products will dramatically improve eCabinet’s characteristics.

eCabinet 2100 is an easy-to-use appliance that integrates seamlessly with all Ricoh peripherals to deliver the benefits of a full electronic archival and retrieval solution for SMB and departmental groups to provide paper-to-digital content conversion.
Paper documents are scanned at a Ricoh MFP and are routed through the appliance, which automatically captures documents with “state-of-the-art” OCR and indexing technology. After assigning the eCabinet appliance an IP address, the documents become conveniently available to a workgroup through their choice of Internet browsers. Any type of document can be excluded at the user’s discretion and access to sensitive documents can be limited to certain users on a need-to-know basis.
