HARDYSTON, NJ (October 15, 2013) Frank Cannata, president of Marketing Research Consultants LLC (MRC), and editor-in-chief and publisher of the THE CANNATA REPORT and Live Wire, announced the relaunch of TheCannataReport.com website and Live Wire blog today. The newly revised website and blog will be presented to hundreds of office equipment executives at THE CANNATA REPORT’s 28th Annual Awards and Charities Dinner, Wednesday, October 16, at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, NJ.
Since its launch in 1982, THE CANNATA REPORT, a monthly trade magazine, has been recognized as a leading media resource for the office products and workflow solutions industry. In 1985, MRC launched Live Wire, a monthly supplement to THE CANNATA REPORT that the company distributed between THE CANNATA REPORT’s publication cycles. Live Wire was distributed via fax to provide up-to-the-minute information on the industry.
“With today's ever-changing technology, it was time for both THE CANNATA REPORT and Live Wire to evolve while continuing to provide the information that the office products and workflow solutions industry wants and needs,” said Frank Cannata. “I was fortunate that my son, CJ Cannata, joined the company in 2012 to spearhead this endeavor.”
Building on his 15 years of experiencein marketing, content solutions and branding at media and entertainment corporations such as Time Warner, Inc. and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc., CJ assembled a talented group of media specialists to bring his vision for THE CANNATA REPORT website and Live Wire blog to life and effect the necessary changes.
“With the work CJ has already accomplished for THE CANNATA REPORT and Live Wire, I felt it was appropriate to make him a partner in MRC and appoint him senior vice president of Brand Strategy and Development,” Frank Cannata said.
According to CJ Cannata, “In a climate where business executives are constantly inundated with media messages and content — but don’t have the time to search for the information they really need to build their business — it was necessary to rebrand and relaunch THE CANNATA REPORT media portfolio. The goal was to make our content more readily available and to provide more frequent industry updates.” CJ also added, “Ultimately, the new site will make it more convenient for our audience to access, search for, comment on and share content from THE CANNATA REPORT and Live Wire blog from connected devices anywhere, anytime.”
Social Media to Play Active Role in Communication between Dealers and Manufacturers
As part of THE CANNATA REPORT media portfolio rebranding effort, THE CANNATA REPORT also officially launched an extensive social media presence on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube. “In addition to the ‘Leave a Comment’ feature across TheCannataReport.com’s content pages, these platforms will help industry professionals exchange views and opinions in real time,” CJ Cannata said.
“While I will continue to build and market our brand and overall content strategy, Frank Cannata will continue to be the driving force behind our media portfolio,” CJ said.
Industry Executives Look Forward to Changes
Two of the office equipment industry’s most widely respected independent dealers Chip Crunk, president & CEO of RJ Young Company in Nashville, TN, and subscriber to THE CANNATA REPORT for nearly 20 years; and Rick Bastinelli, president of Centric Business Systems and subscriber to THE CANNATA REPORT for seven years, commented on the relaunch of THE CANNATA REPORT media portfolio.
“THE CANNATA REPORT gives independent dealers a straightforward, unbiased and informed analysis of our industry, which is very valuable in managing our businesses. Expanding the report to digital avenues will allow greater accessibility to the information and also allow us to share and engage in conversations about the information easily, Chip Crunk said.”
Rick Bastinelli said “for more than 30 years Frank Cannata, through THE CANNATA REPORT and the Live Wire, has been the office equipment industries 'Voice of Reason' for the dealer community. “Frank's commitment to the independent dealers has him attending most industry trade shows, manufacturer's meetings and events so he can obtain all the available information and present a candid assessment of how it affects the dealer community. His relaunch of THE CANNATA REPORT and its website and making the Live Wire a blog, in addition to having a presence in the social media world will only expand his reach to the dealers, manufacturers and consumers,” Mr. Bastinelli added.
MWAi, a leading a leading provider of solutions that support the exchange of real-time information between hardware assets, mobile workers, and key stakeholders in mission-critical positions is a launch sponsor of the new website TheCannataReport.com.
“MWAi is one the launch sponsors of TheCannataReport.com for a very good reason. It offers a fantastic opportunity to realize a heightened level of communication,” said Mike Stramaglio President MWAi. “The combination of an online publication and the use of social media is the best possible way for the people in our industry to obtain the information we need to operate our business. This includes manufacturers, distributors, financial institutions and dealers. I look at it as the best possible conduit of information.”
Innovolt, another launch sponsor of TheCannataReport.com website, was the first company to provide complete power protection and asset management software to solve a host of unique problems that most businesses and consumers are not aware of but are paying for through shortened electronics lifespan and decreased product reliability.
Walter Crowder, Vice President of Sales for Innovolt, said “Innovolt has been working with THE CANNATA REPORT for four years. We have continued our relationship with this publication because of its respectable reputation within the office equipment industry, and because Frank Cannata has been a valued partner and trusted advisor. We are excited to be a part of this evolutionary journey for THE CANNATA REPORT as the publication moves further into the digital world. This transformation couldn't be possible without the addition of CJ Cannata, who has an impressive digital marketing background and will take this publication to a new level.”
In addition to announcing the revised THE CANNATA REPORT, Live Wire and social media presence The Cannata Report's Annual Awards and Charities Dinner during the past 16 years has raised nearly $1 million for various charities. This year all proceeds from the dinner will benefit the MaryAnn Ingoglia Memorial Research Grant for Leukemia conducted at The Hackensack University Medical Center.
