HARDYSTON, NJ (October 22, 2013) Frank G. Cannata, president of Marketing Research Consultants LLC (MRC), and editor-in-chief and publisher of the THE CANNATA REPORT, TheCannataReport.com and Live Wire blog, announced that over $130,000 was rasied and pledged at THE CANNATA REPORT’s 28th Annual Awards and Charities Dinner for the MaryAnn Ingoglia Memorial Research Grant for Leukemia conducted at The Hackensack University Medical Center.  The annual dinner took place on October 16, at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, NJ.

THE CANNATA REPORT established the MaryAnn Ingoglia Memorial Research Grant for Leukemia in memory of MaryAnn Ingoglia, who passed away last year and was the wife of long-time industry executive, Robert Ingoglia.

“The doctors and researchers at Hackensack University Medical Center, where MaryAnn received her care have made great strides in developing an effective cure for chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Frank Cannata said.  “It is our hope that this grant, in MaryAnn's name, will help provide this outstanding medical facility with some of the funding needed to combat a disease that affects so many,” Cannata added.

Helen Cunning, Executive Director, Development at Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation said, “I have had the pleasure and privilege of fundraising with Frank Cannata for the better part of 25 years. Our association began at Seton Hall with the creation of an Italian studies chair that evolved into an entire department. My association with Frank continues to be a source of professional pride as we work to benefit our patients and programs through the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. I have been fortunate to work closely with a man so inherently decent and infinitely kind. Frank’s blend of common sense, clear vision and compassionate action compel like-minded people to join his team. It is my honor to be on Frank’s team working together to make a meaningful difference.”

The annual dinner has been raising funds for charities since 1997, and since that time has raised more than $1 million for various charities including the V Foundation for Cancer Research, the Glide Foundation to aid the homeless in San Francisco and charities that benefit battered women and children.

The annual event recognizes the best products from manufacturers in the office products and work flow solutions industry.  The awards are determined by the results of the THE CANNATA REPORT’s Annual Dealer Survey — now in its 28th as year as well.

“Dealers from across the country take part in our Annual Dealer Survey and it does more that just rank the best products and software from manufacturers,” said Cannata.  “This probe uncovers the dealers’ major concerns and reveals how well they are progressing towards becoming a true services provider,” Cannata added.

Winners at this year's dinner include:  Kyocera Mita, Printer Manufacturer of the Year; Ricoh Company Ltd., MFP Manufacturer of the Year; and First in Class Manufacturer of the Year went to Muratec America, Inc.  Rick Taylor, President and COO of Konical Minolta received the Executive of the Year Award.

THE CANNATA REPORT also presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Kirk Yoshida, the retired chairman of Ricoh Americas Corporation.  Mr. Yoshida spent his entire career at Ricoh, starting in 1967, with Ricoh Company, Ltd., in Japan.  He served as Chairman of Ricoh Corporation (USA) from 1998 to 2002 and from 2008 to 2009.  He returned to Japan in 2009, becoming Chairman of Ricoh Leasing before his retirement in 2012.
