Tenzing Managed IT Services announced today the launch of their latest advanced managed service, Site Optimizer. The new service optimizes web site performance across browser, device, network and location to deliver dramatically improved site performance. Site Optimizer can speed page load times by up to 80%, requires no code changes or additional infrastructure and can be deployed and configured in a matter of hours.
Working closely with our merchants, who are some of the worlds leading online retailers, we realized that site responsiveness is a critical factor affecting key business metrics like abandonment rate and average order size. Our customers need something that delivers improvements across mobile and web, beyond what a standalone CDN can provide, said Dave Geada, Director of Marketing for Tenzing. We are thrilled to be launching Site Optimizer because it gives our clients the speed, flexibility and customer experience they need to engage their shoppers.
The web and mobile site optimization solution speeds up the delivery of content to site visitors, resulting in significantly decreased render times, increased user engagement, higher conversion rates, and decreased load on origin servers. Tenzing Site Optimizer identifies the performance profile of your shoppers and automatically applies application sequencing, front-end optimization and caching techniques to ensure that every visitor sees the best version of your web store optimized for their profile. This makes transactions more personalized, compelling and engaging, and results in increased page views and time on site, while lowering bounce rate and decreasing abandonment across mobile and desktop. This fully managed, cloud-based service requires no code changes or additional infrastructure and can be deployed and configured in a matter of hours with no disruption to your web store.
Chris MacLean, Director of IT Engineering at Tenzing spoke about testing the product before launch. We decided to use Tenzing.com as one of our first production deployments for Site Optimizer, to see what the impact to our customer experience would be. We allotted 3 days for the deployment, but had it completed in less than 1 (and most of that time was just QA of the site). The results are compelling full page loads down from 4s to 2s. We are seeing even better performance on mobile, a trouble spot for us previously. Its been a great win for us internally, the results are so tangible and easy to see fast is fast!
Site Optimizer is the latest addition to Tenzings suite of advanced managed services, complementing offerings that include Application Monitoring Performance, DoS protection and mitigation, and secure backup services.
