The Starke County Commissioners were updated on their recent purchase of a new plotter for the surveyor and recorder offices during their meeting Tuesday.
In a previous meeting, Starke County Surveyor Tom Schouten brought forth quotes including a leased option. The first quote was for an HP plotter that came in at $13,367.99. The next quote was for an EPSON plotter that came in at $9,845.75. The leased option was a 36 month lease with Eastern Engineers for an HP plotter listed at $7,190. It was mentioned the 36 month lease would be $149 per month for the county. During that meeting, the commissioners unanimously approved the 36 month lease of the cheaper HP plotter.
On Tuesday, Starke County Recorder Mandy Thomason informed the commissioners the plotter is scheduled to be delivered and installed today. She added once everything is put together, both offices will be able to use the new equipment moving forward.
