Stapling on 1060 moving 1/2" out during run...

Anyone have this issue or any work arounds? It is driving us nuts...

Stapled sets are wasted because folding is not on center, typically it runs up to 1/2" out (off center)from center staple line.

The percentages are bad: in a recent 500 set run, 76 were NDG and exhibited the problem.
Paper type is normal with job being 5 DBL Sided Letter pages folded and stapled like a booklet. Wasn't this m/c designed to do this?

The Cust has a 1060 with Saddle Stitch finisher...we have checked finsiher ROM and explained problem to Ricoh support but no solution forthcoming.

Any solutions / experiences appreciated...

check bulletin B468/B469 -005

Make sure that's the firmware you have. Also, create some originals with a line in the center
where the fold is suppose to be. Then with the sorter door open you should see each page line
up. This should tell you if it's a jogging or creasing problem.

Got it! Found similar info in B468/B469 - 001, we also have now and ordered a part that is suppossed to help..it is B468-9003.

This is basically a sheet of plastic cut to exact size and thickness you need to use when adjusting finisher...this may work better than before when we were using 10 sheets of paper to simulate document job.

Will keep everyone posted on this...
