Sohn Manufacturing Purchases Epson SurePress L-4033AW
CHICAGO, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- (PRINT, Epson Booth #831) -- Epson today announced Sohn Manufacturing has purchased the Epson SurePress® L-4033AW digital label press. With over 60 years of experience in the manufacturing of flexographic printing equipment, rotary converting and die cutting, Sohn Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, reliable source for competitively priced label products, rotary cutting dies, printing, and converting machines. Sohn Quality Custom Labels, a division of Sohn Manufacturing, will be using the SurePress to expand their short-run label printing offerings to customers, helping them produce custom die-cut labels and decrease production time.
"We have known about the SurePress and its amazing capabilities for years from discussions we've had with Epson representatives at trade shows, as well as from our customers who have come to us for die-cut finishers to use as a combined solution with their SurePress," said Harvey Beaudry, sales representative, Sohn Manufacturing. "Seeing the combined solution in action has helped us make the decision to purchase our own SurePress, which will allow us to create high-quality short-run labels, while reducing costs and decreasing production time."
Designed for prime label converters and commercial printers, the Epson SurePress L-4033AW is an easy-to-operate, seven-color inkjet digital label press with White ink that makes high-quality, short-run label printing easier and more efficient, even on clear and metallic substrates. Delivering exceptional print quality and accurate color reproduction, as well as innovative features, the L-4033AW is a cost-effective and reliable solution that allows printers to expand their service offerings and improve profitability.
Driving the SurePress L-4033AW is the included Wasatch RIP and Print Management Software. The Wasatch SoftRIP is a sophisticated RIP solution designed to save time and money by including superior color management options, efficient layout features, powerful workflow tools, variable data printing, and contour cutting, all while producing excellent quality color.
"We are pleased to provide family-owned businesses such as Sohn Manufacturing with the digital printing technology they need to help complete their label printing solution," said Victor Gomez, group product manager Americas, Labels, Epson America, Inc. "The SurePress L-4033AW was designed to print short-run, high-quality labels, which gives Sohn Manufacturing an ideal, cost-effective solution for creating short-run labels for their customers."
In addition, Epson is showcasing Sohn Rotary Wizard modular rotary laminating and die-cutting machines in its booth at PRINT 17. Designed to take pre-printed material on a roll and automatically position the rotary cutting die to cut the material in register with the printed image, the Wizard machines allow for many options to meet final product requirements.
