Do you or anyone else know when Ricoh is going to release the update? I was told any day now by presales connectivity. Acrobat is giving us a headache and I was told this will take care of those issues.

Heard today that the new 3.3 version is coming with the latest print controllers. Check your inventory and borrow from Peter to pay Paul.

Update procedure - for the RW 470 was - so should be similar: Uninstall plotbase. Uninstall kernal driver. Reinstall plotbase - kernal driver should auto update. You may have to also update RSP files. When you upgrade plotbase, remember to upgrade any plotclients the have as well, especially plotclient win.
As a cheat, you could use the version 3.3 CD from a new install to perform this upgrade - just keep a copy of the CD!

Meant to also say that Acorobat is the issue, a new version of plotbase will not fix. Try going to acrobat reader and downloading the 5.0 version of reader. That should fix the problem. Printing PDF files through plotclient win if you have postscript also works. As a last resort, there is a 300 dpi windows driver avialable through Ricoh tech support - talk to your field tech support from Ricoh to get the driver.
The main issue with plotbase ver 3.3 is to support AutoCAD 2005.
You need to use Adobe version 5.0 or lower. This Is an Adobe problem; the 300 DPI WinPrint drv doesn’t correct this problem. If the workstation has other versions of adobe, then, change the file type to version 5.0.
