Smart Net Monitor for Admin | Print4Pay Hotel

I've sold a Savin C3424 and started networking it for a law firm. They want to bill clients for the copys they make on their behalf.

Smart Net Monitor for Admin works on at least 2 of their computers, but not on the key operators.

I believe this may have to do with the Windows Service Pack 2 upgrade.

It seems like MS has implemented some new firewalls. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?

I can ping the machine and I can use Web Image Monitor, but cannot use SmartNet.

You can ping the machine, because the firewall is allowing the IP address out. You need to configure the firewall to allow the IP address in so smartnet monitor can see it.

Try MS's KB article 842242. Lot's of info in there on how to allow exceptions in firewall after application of SP2.
