Sharp Knockouts against Ricoh C4503

BTW, the 4503SP is one awesome system:

 

I have one, will have a few more:

 

• System can not scan2word or scan2excel unless you buy Ricoh ICE.  12 month subscription is $256 or something like that.
• OCR is an option (searchable .pdf)

 

Does this MFP have a preview feature that shows the scanned pages on the user interface before you copy, scan or fax?

Does it have the same paper path as older models?

Yes same paper path as the previous model, it does envelopes with a breeze!

We can't scan2sharepoint nor MS 365 out of the box. BTW, is Sharp still using the UDOCX Cloud?

Thanks for the reply. The Ricoh machine not being able to preview prior to copy and fax is a huge advantage for the Sharp machines. During a demo it is very impressive to the customer to show them how they can see their documents scroll across the user interface when you press the preview icon. You also can delete pages, move pages, turn pages right side up with your finger. This can all be done before you copy, scan or fax.


The paper path is an advantage for Sharp because the Ricoh paper path can be cumbersome to remove jams inside the machine. I always point out the "race track" red and blue diagrams on the inside of the front door of all Ricoh machines. The Sharp paper path is very straight-forward. Easy to find and clear jams.


Sounds like Sharp still has a few key knock out points against Ricoh. Thanks for the update on the Ricoh product.

Yes, Sharp still uses UDOX Cloud. They are also recommending their own product named Sharp Cloud Portal Office(CPO). Drivve is another solution that Sharp recommends.
