Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) has announced three new models that have been added to its line of multifunction document systems for high-volume markets.

The new MX-M904, MX-M1054 and MX-M1204 monochrome document systems are available in three engine speeds: 90 pages-per-minute (ppm), 105 ppm and 120 ppm. They offer advanced capabilities such as air-feed paper handling for higher reliability and enhanced media support, and modular finishing options that offer professional folding and booklet making. To manage all these features, these new models utilize Sharp's 10.1-inch high-resolution touch-screen user interface that offers scan preview, real-time editing and customization.

"The MX-M904, MX-M1054 and MX-M1204 illustrate Sharp's ongoing commitment to bringing professional-level printing capabilities in-house," said Doug Albregts, president, SIICA. "The rich features of this new series push the boundaries of innovation and help bring efficiency to our customers who rely on Sharp in this space."

The flexible, modular design allows for a variety of paper handling and finishing configurations ranging from basic high-volume printing and copying to advanced folding and booklet making. The available triple air-feed paper handling option is reliable and virtually maintenance free. The MX-M904, MX-M1054 and MX-M1204 models have paper capacity for up to 13,500 sheets with options and Standard PCL 6 and true Adobe PostScript 3 printing systems. The intuitive job management function enables users to reprint, edit and combine jobs directly from the machine itself.

"These new models have been designed on Sharp's award-winning Hercules platform, which offers the performance and reliability our customers expect," said George Grafanakis, senior manager of product planning and marketing, SIICA. "Sharp's new air-feed paper handling system, combined with versatile finishing options, make these new workhorses suitable for all types of businesses, large or small."

The MX-M904, MX-M1054 and MX-M1204 are built on the latest Sharp OSA development platform, making network integration with external applications and cloud services easy and secure. The built-in security platform offers 256-bit data encryption and up to seven times data overwrite protection to safeguard sensitive business or customer information. Additionally, a convenient End-of-Lease feature can erase all personal data, address books and job data at trade-in time.
