The consideration of the acceptance of a proposal for the purchase of a digital color copier/printer was placed back into consideration after having been previously tabled. Donaldson noted that there had been four proposals presented and asked County Manager Jennifer Crow to present the recommendation of the Commissioner's Office and the Finance Department, who will be using the equipment. Crow said that they had selected the proposal for a Sharp Copier from Journal Office Supply for $9,799, saying that the display was user-friendly and it also had a pull-out keyboard, even though it was $234 more. Other proposals were from New Age Electronics at $9,565; Great Copier Service at $9,959; and Xerox at $2,271 over the lowest bid.
Maintenance costs were the same. Commissioner Jim Edwards recused himself from the vote.
