Ok....I got the real solution for separator pages....And it works!
It is long and designed with a client/server application in mind printing from a shared printer off of a server.
Step 1. Put colored paper landscape in one of the drawers (IE Drawer 4) on the printer and set that drawer as the DEFAULT PAPER drawer for printing through user tools... (Stay with me here).
Step 2. Through the printers menu in windows etc... set the preferences on your PRINT DRIVER on the pc to default print to another tray (ie: the LCT)
Step 3. Go back to you Win2k server and turn on the option to print a NETWORK BANNER PAGE with the print jobs.
What does this do??
When you print a job, it prints from the tray that you have specified in you DRIVER as the default thus overriding the copier's default. The server sends a NETWORK BANNER PAGE with the print job that prints from the default tray that the COPIER has. What you get is a landscape color page between your print jobs that not only separates the job by color, it also has the job information and user name that printed the job on it.
This works and has been implemented in numerous printing environments with great success! Also, it gives us another click with each print job.
