SDM with XP SP2

TedSenior Account Manager

Does anyone know how to make SDM for Admin work with XP SP2? I have done the things listed in the Ricoh White papers, but it still doesn't work. Has anyone figured out a work around that they can explain to me in an email or a post on this site? Thanks for the help.

I've installed it on some SP2 machines and it has worked, installed on others and had no success.

I'm sure that you've already done the following, but you may want to double check the following:

Disable any personal firewalls by virus protection software (temporarily).

Go to Control Panel, Security, Windows Firewall and allow an exception for the program.

What product are you trying to reach?

Open SP2 security center, select windows firewall, select exceptions. Click on the add program button, and add SDM client, SNMP setup tool and open port 3670. You may to also add SNMP to “add window component”.
