The great claim to fame with scanrouter lite is that once you made a scan setting folder change it would change all of the ricoh devices on the networki. I just upgraded and account, did not know they had scanrouter lite (shame on me).

Scan router will not work with new devices, what should I do? Will smartnet web monitor be able to do this as easily as scan router?

Scan router hasn't worked for a few years on new devices. God I hated Scan Router. I would tout the benefits of not having to have that POS software anymore and show them how great it is to be able to have the modern interface.

You can easily back-up and restore addressbooks from machine to machine if you are trying to make all addressbooks the same if the machines are similar generations or you can do an import export and manipulate the addressbooks in Xcel.
Hi Art, I believe Smart Device Monitor would allow you to update the address book and import to all devices at once but I'm not positive. I had a customer running Scan Router lite on their fleet and upgraded to Global Scan because the new units no longer supported Scan Router. Ricoh offers a discounted Global Scan price for customers upgrading from an existing Scan Router install. May be worth looking into
I actually used Smart Device Monitor with a Canon a couple of weeks ago. It was a new account and the customer's Canon had an extensive addressbook. I was surprised that I was able to pull the addressbook out of the machine. The fields and the naming structure were all messed up but after a lot of mouse clicks and editing I had the addrerssbook from the Canon in a format I could uplode into the new Ricoh. Sure beat re-typing the entire addressbook.
