Savin 4018d auto paper tray switch

Go into the print driver and change the tray options from Auto Tray Select to Tray 1. This will force the device to pull from tray 1 only and won't switch to tray 2 (since it's not auto selecting.

I had a similar situation and we actually loaded one print driver for normal tray 1 printing and then loaded a second driver (for the person who printed the checks) so it was defaulted to tray 2. We changed the driver name to say 2018D check printer or something like that...

Go to “user tools” and select the second cassette for “special” paper. When you print the checks from the print driver you must select “tray 2” and “special Paper”. Under no circumstance will anything copy, fax or print from this cassette, unless you select “special”.

Thanks V-Tec, this is what I thought also but on my 4018d I can't find a please to set special paper for the trays, only for the bypass. Can you tell me exactly where to go after "user tools" - thanks again!
