Tampere, Finland (PRWEB UK) 2 October 2012

M-Files Corporation, the developer of M-Files flexible cloud and on-premise enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, today announced that SAS Institute, a leader in business analytics software and services and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market, is utilizing M-Files for its operations in Finland to bolster their SharePoint implementation with purpose-built document management capabilities.

SAS intends to expand its use of M-Files throughout its Nordic operations consisting of offices in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, in addition to Finland, by the end of 2012.

Prior to M-Files, important documents and information were managed by SAS employees on their laptops and network drives. This process often led to data loss and the use of incorrect versions of important customer documents and data. By integrating M-Files with SharePoint, SAS Finland staff can now efficiently perform comprehensive searches directly within the SharePoint interface across large volumes of data and locate the right documents and information instantly.

"With M-Files, we have quick and convenient access to powerful document management capabilities right within the SharePoint platform," said Jukka Vuori, IT Manager at SAS Finland. "The high-level functionality within M-Files boosts the value of SharePoint as a centralized data repository, and creates a better and more comprehensive solution for searching, viewing, and editing all of our content."

The ability for SAS to more effectively manage customer contracts and agreements with M-Files has resulted in important gains in productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction, which has led a fast return on investment, not only for M-Files, but for the organization's SharePoint implementation.

"Everyone knows where their agreements are, and everyone is up to date on the status of contacts. Customers see this efficiency and it has directly led to improved customer satisfaction," added Vuori.

"SAS provides a great example of how M-Files can maximize a much larger investment in SharePoint by adding purpose-built document management capabilities," said Miika MÄkitalo, CEO of M-Files Corporation. "With M-Files, document and information-intensive enterprises such as SAS can quickly augment SharePoint to create a unified environment that delivers powerful collaboration capabilities in addition to all the tools necessary to organize, manage and track their documents and data."
