April 29, 2009 - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, a leading name in the world of electronics and information technology, today announced the launch of the CLP-770ND, its fastest colour laser printer at 32 pages per minute (ppm). Designed for the corporate enterprise, the CLP-770ND offers high performance and versatile printing, with new features including an impressive 720MHz processor and an optional 80GB hard disk drive (HDD).

The CLP-770ND delivers faster print speeds of 32 pages per minute (ppm) and a first print out time of just 10seconds in mono and 11 seconds in colour.

The CLP-770ND is easy to use, owing to its four-line LCD control panel and Unique Samsung Compass Navigation system and a very easy to use Samsung Universal Print Driver deployed on all Samsung Print and MFP products. The LCD panel makes it simple to read messages during the printing process, such as system alerts or status updates.

The Compass Navigation system requires less buttons on the control panel, making it simpler and more intuitive to use the menu. This reduces the amount of training users need on the device and minimises trouble-shooting time.

Its high capacity 256MB memory - expandable to 768MB to improve output performance even further - and powerful processor enable the device to process and print document rapidly. This colour printer minimises the time users spend waiting for documents, reduces bottlenecks and increases overall efficiency in the office. The CLP-770ND’s capabilities can be also be enhanced with optional wireless connectivity.

The CLP-770ND is feature-rich with a standard 600 sheet paper capacity (1600 Max. sheet paper capacity). It’s also has a high toner yield of up to 7,000 pages, ability to handle large volumes of paper (up to 1,100 pages) and impressive 120,000-page maximum monthly duty cycle makes the CLP-770ND a highly versatile device that meets the requirements of the most demanding of office environments. The substantial toner yield and large monthly duty cycle contribute to a competitive total cost of ownership.

In order to help corporate enterprises better manage their printing environment, the CLP-770ND is integrated with Samsung’s exclusive software solution, SyncThru™ Web Admin Service. With this solution, IT managers can easily and remotely manage the performance of a network printer, reducing time taken to maintain devices. With the addition of the hard disk drive, additional solutions including SyncThru™ Job Accounting and CounThru™.

“Enhancing our product portfolio to meet the needs of business customers is key to extending our leadership in the printing marketplace,” said Kiran Sanghera, B2B IT Product Marketing Manager for Printers/MFPs. “With this versatile new device, we have introduced features to meet customer requirements for high-end colour printing in the corporate office environment.”
