RIVERTON — A couple was arrested after police say they manufactured and spent counterfeit bills at fast-food restaurants in Salt Lake County.
Skyler Holmes, 29, and Ashley Jacobson, 21, were arrested about 5:30 p.m. Friday on suspicion of forgery, possession of a forgery device, possession of a controlled substance, and possession or use of drug paraphernalia, jail records show. Holmes was also arrested on suspicion of producing or transferring false identification documents.
Both were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail that same day.
Officers responded to a call Friday from the owner of Taco Time in Riverton,1939 W. 12600 South, and found Holmes and Jacobson in the parking lot of the restaurant when they arrived, jail records state.
The officers read the pair their Miranda rights, and both Jacobson and Holmes said they had several counterfeit $20 bills in their possession and that they had used other counterfeit money at fast-food restaurants in Riverton, Herriman and South Jordan over the last two weeks, according to jail records. read the rest here
