Hey Art...
Ever wondered how to make ANYONE want to buy your Product or Service?
Here's the big secret.... You can't!
Probably not what you wanted to hear first thing in the morning. But the truth of the matter is, you simply can't force or compel people to want anything....
Even if you compel them into making a buying decision with brutal force, you can't actually get their brain to WANT what you're making them do...
So what's the solution?
Simple... You find the people who already want what your selling and market to them instead!
Imagine that you only ever spoke to people who have a WANT and NEED for your Product or Service?
Trust me... It's makes things a whole lot easier and about 100 times more enjoyable as well!
Last week, a Business Owner in Ireland contacted me to find out more about how I could help him increase his profits... About 30 seconds into the call he asks:
"So... Tell me why I need you?"
I don't know about you Art, but I'm not really into trying to 'convince' someone why they need me when quite frankly they might not...
So I throw the hot potato right back at him with a technique I learnt from a friend of mine and responded with:
"You know, I'm not sure you do need me. I understand you have a problem and you said it was important to get that fixed, but I don't know if I'm the right person to do that. What led you to believe I can help you?"
...He then starts reeling off all the reasons he needs my help.... Which certainly made my job a lot easier....
So the lesson here is... Forget about the prospects who say things like, "convince me" or "sell yourself to me'' or "tell me why I need you."
If they don't know and feel the answers to this already, you're probably wasting your time.
Rather than trying to convince, compel, persuade or coerce cold prospects into buying from you, put your time, energy and effort into letting those who already love you and want what you're offering, see your value and persuade THEMSELVES into doing business with you.
Take care, take action and be relentless...
