RJ Young Hires New Director of Operations
Jan 20, 2012 Nashville, TN – The RJ Young Company is pleased to announce Doug Thompson as the new Director of Operations. Thompson will oversee the management and operations of the five distribution centers of the company, which include Nashville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Jackson, MS and Hattiesburg, MS.
“Our company continues to grow and expand throughout the Southeast. Doug will play an integral role to continue this growth and meet customer needs. He will have direct involvement in the leadership of the company and its future direction, “ said Hunter McCarty Chief Operating Officer at RJ Young.
Before joining RJ Young Company, Doug was a System Program Manager for Eaton in Jackson, MS. Prior to that position Thompson had 20 highly successful years as a Naval Officer and Aviator. While in the Navy Doug Thompson had a variety of experiences, which included two tours of duty in the Middle East, acting as an advisor to Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts, and managing a $6 billion annual procurement budget of the Navy.
Doug Thompson is from Ocean Springs, MS and holds a BA degree from the University of Mississippi and a MA degree from Catholic University. Doug resides in Nashville and is married with a son and daughter.
