NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 3, 2009) –On Monday August 31, 2009 RJ Young Company purchased Photocopy Supply Company, a Nashville based Savin and Panasonic office equipment dealer.

“We found Photocopy Supply Company to be a great addition to our company. They have a similar business philosophy and product lines that fit our current growth strategy,” said Chip Crunk President & CEO of RJ Young Company.

Photocopy Supply Company was a $2.5 million company and had 20 employees. They do not anticipate any major changes in employment at either company.

In the past six years the RJ Young Company has acquired eight companies making them the largest independent office equipment dealer in the Southeast United States. This acquisition will bring the RJ Young Company to $68 million in total revenue.

“We have taken the approach to increase our market share through acquisitions and by investing in the technology that helps our customers stay competitive, “said Hunter McCarty Chief Operating Officer of RJ Young Company.

The technology McCarty is referring to is data management. Many industries are changing the way they manage their information and even more now have government mandates they must follow.

“Our industry is changing. We see a larger demand for solutions to managing, sharing and securing information in a digital format. We have invested in the technology to help our customers become more efficient, improve processes, and ultimately lower their costs,” said Crunk.

RJ Young Company has been in business since 1955 and is the fourth largest office equipment dealer in the nation. RJ Young is headquartered in Nashville, TN and has 16 locations throughout five states. For more information on The RJ Young Company, visit www.rjyoung.com.
