PrintCabinet Manages Network Printing, Copy Costs, And Security
West Caldwell, NJ, June 9, 2003 -- Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable DigitalTM output company, today introduced PrintCabinet, a state-of-the-art Linux-based print appliance. With the addition of PrintCabinet, users can now benefit from a complete turnkey printing solution. PrintCabinet provides total print management and hosting services as well as print and copy tracking functionality within one integrated appliance.
PrintCabinet features an intuitive Web-Browser user interface allowing ease of installation, print management, cost accounting and configuration. The inclusive Web interface allows for problems to be quickly identified, devices to be added or removed, and current software upgrades and print drivers to be obtained from a centralized online repository.
Additionally, PrintCabinet allows corporations to easily account for all print and copy activity. Corporate CFO's, Controllers and Department Managers can utilize transactional usage information available in PrintCabinet's customized usage reports. Now, management decisions on departmental budgets, cost allocation and total cost of ownership can be determined using PrintCabinet's accurate accounting reports.

PageCounter 100 Terminal for Secure Printing and Walk Up Copy Control
Adding this networked terminal to multifunctional devices enables a PIN code number or magnetic stripe card to be used to track copy volume. Also, secure documents can be released from the PrintCabinet appliance utilizing the numeric keypad of the PageCounter 100.
PrintCabinet Plus Package
A software option which includes support for PageCounter 100 and Secure Document Release (SDR) functionality. The Plus Package also provides seamless integration support for NetWare / PServer environments as well as print load balancing and fail-over grouping.
